I would like to share my views on the NMMA thru the years. I have seen this organization up and down, in my years of being a member, a driver's wife and official. I can honestly say I have enjoyed every bit of being a member, I have good friends all over the United States, and it's because of the NMMA, this sport is what you make it, like any sport, and the whole family can be a part of this, meeting new people, helping one another out at the race track and down time after the races. We had banquets yrs ago where we wore long dresses, and the guys dressed up, now I know that is hard to believe, but it did happen, and I use to look all summer long just for the right dress to wear. Things change as they have in recent years, but one thing that hasn't changed over the years is the friends we meet each year at the race track. We never raced for money, we raced for the points and the joy of winning, money is nice but it wasn't heard of than. And we didn't care, all we cared about is getting our car out there and race with our buddies, and to go to the Nationals and meet our friends that we only got to see once or twice a year, those were the good days, but there is still a lot of good fun days today, I think our organization is great and I am very proud to be a part of this wonderful organization.
